Sidebar- Gadget - Slide show - Bug: cannot change viewed dir
Known issue, in prior builds you could type in the directory path, both it has taken a step back in b2. -- Andre Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta "James" wrote in message

Try editing the XML and HTML files of the gadget - they should be in the Windows\Sidebar directory and it should be quite simple to edit :o)

Its still an active bug, assigned to a dev. I assume that he will fix the bug and allow you to enter your own directories again - but you know what happens when I "assume"... Until the fix is coded, checked in, and built, there's always the chance that the bug will get punted.
If you want to add your influence toward getting your desired outcome for this bug, please feel free to file it in the beta bug db and get folks to vote for it.

Bruce, several posters have deleted the Feedback shortcut and would like to get it back. Do you know how?

It appears to link to here: %SystemRoot%\system32\mshta.exe %SystemRoot%\system32\feedback.hta according to properties of the shortcut.

Just checked and by clicking on feedback.hta in the system32 folder, the feedback page opens correctly. So send feedback.hta as a shortcut to the desktop.
